My girlfriend bought a pair of Ice Pick Iridium for me in May 2009 and they have been the only sunglasses that I've worn ever since. I own sunglasses made by Rayban, Wiley-X, Sama, and Randolph Engineering, along with other Oakleys, but these are by far the best. They weigh nothing and are very comfortable. They've taken alot of abuse in my travels to Iraq, Egypt, England and other places, they never failed me, and I literally wear them every day. They are perfect for driving and flying. I scratched the left lens this morning and immediatley started looking for a new pair of Ice Picks, no other brand or model. My girlfriend was right when she bought them for me.

When Oakley created the Ice Pick, they started with lightweight O MATTER® frame material which gave it aggressive durability and sculptural attitude, and matched it with optics that have to be experienced to be believed. That's on top of a comfortable Three-Point Fit that uses Unobtainium components to increase grip with sweat. Even a small amount of glare can put performance on thin ice, and when the sun bounces off flat surfaces, the reflected light can be 10 times brighter. That's why places with pavement, snow or water demand polarized lenses. Oakley utilizes a liquid infusion process that bonds at the molecular level to achieve the clearest, sharpest polarized lenses possible. The lenses are enhanced with Hydrophobic, a permanent smudge-resistant coating that repels skin oils, lotions and dust with a slippery surface that prevents water sheens from getting a foothold. The back side is treated with a permanent anti-reflective coating, and lens options include Iridium coatings to balance and tune light transmission. High Definition Optics (HDO®) maximizes clarity while contouring the lenses for a greater range of peripheral view. The optical performance of HDO® is so precise, this pair of sunglasses beats all ANSI Z87.1 standards for clarity. It also meets ANSI standards for impact resistance, thanks to a lens material called Plutonite that offers the added benefit of 100% UV filtering.
